Carol's academic background includes a Master's of Fine Arts in painting from The University of North Texas, Bachelor's degree in sculpture from Texas Women's University and several years of undergraduate study at the Cleveland Institute of Art, Cleveland, Ohio. Her teaching experience includes painting and art history classes at Dallas and Collin County Community Colleges, Southern Methodist University, The Dallas Museum of Art, Dallas Visual Art Center and The Dallas Arboretum.
Her many creative and innovative water-media painting workshops include an mixture of collage, monotypes, and mixed mediums.
The addition of printmaking, and the inclusion of recycled and handmade papers in collage have merged to represent a personal symbolism and make a personal artistic statement.
This award winning artist has been selected for juried and invitational exhibitions nationally and internationally. She is represented in many major corporate and private
Collections. She is a juror for regional and state exhibitions and is a frequent lecturer
for many art groups.
Carol is a member of Allied Artists of America, associate member of American Watercolor Society, Dallas Museum of Art, Texas Watercolor Society (signature member), Southwestern Watercolor Soc. (signature member and past board member for several years), Texas Fine Arts (past board member), The Dallas Arboretum (committee member).
She is listed in Artists of Texas, Who's Who in Texas, and Who's Who of American Women.
