CHAIR WITH A VIEW This exhibition grew out of monthly meetings that began in 1992 and became known as Art Focus XC. We came together to share ideas and search for greater knowledge for the creative spirit in each of us. We brought to these gatherings a common bond of support and our own individual insight into the creative process. As time passed, the idea for a group exhibition of a body of work that would provide a forum for our art started to be formed. This touring show is the result. All of these artists are producing work that is exciting, experimental, and reveals thoughts about our culture and our being; past and present. We feel that viewers of art are by nature curious and fascinated with the workings of the artist's mind. With this idea, we invite the viewer's interaction and discovery to take place by using visual vehicles to enable the viewer to travel with the artist through their creative process. This body of work is a group venture. The art connects us with one another in a universal way. Art is our platform, painting is our voice.
